Starting a business is the easy part. Staying in business is a hard part.
In order to start a business you need three things
1) A problem you can solve
2) People who will pay for the solution and know this is a problem and want to solve it
3) A solution to the problem.
That’s it. Of course there are other things that will help. You need a business account to put the money you make in. You need a payment processor. You need an EIN (employer identification number). You can set it up with the IRS.
If you add taxes on your merchandise, you will have to have a number to do this.You will have to turn this in monthly.
You will need a way for people to pay you. You will need a product or service to sell. You have to have something to sell.
It is important to not start a business when you are desperate to make money because typically the money you make initially will need to be put back into the business. I
f you are serious about business, you need systems, processes, workflows – how you do things.
Walk through every step a customer may come into your business to the end and work out the steps and links. You want everyone to have the same experience.
Without systems, processes the backend is jacked up and customers will get a different experience each time. Also, you need multiple products and services to help more customers.
I wanted to start a business after being frustrated. I am a horrible employee. I get that. I saw clearly I wasn’t valued. I saw all the red tape with the job.
This is what happens when you help someone else achieve their dreams.
I love entrepreneurship because you can be paid what you are worth. You can create something like a book, course, journal or planner once and be paid for it over and over. I love this. This is leverage to me. You can leverage your expertise. You can get paid for your knowledge, expertise, experience, Education, skills. You can take any amount of experience and monetize it over and over.
With the world changing as rapidly as things are, controlled by tech to save us time and money. It is no greater time to use what you know and create digital products to make millions.
We all know stuff that others want to know and are willing to pay for. You don’t have to pay to learn what you already know.
I am not saying you don’t have to learn new things because you will need to learn how to package your expertise, experience, knowledge and education into a book and course and monetize. But it is worth it, because it will change your life. It will change your family life.
It will possibly give you freedom and that is what you deserve. You can do this. You know more than you think.
